Turkey is such an exotic and fascinating country, rich in history and culture, and our Turkish Treasures products reflect this. Many Turkish Treasures jewelry designs are reminiscent of the historic old pieces that adorned the necks of ladies in the Byzantine Empire. This detailed filigree work has been made by Near Eastern craftsmen for centuries and was carried by merchants along the Old Silk Road connecting eastern Europe to China. Beautiful hand painted china and porcelain was produced and these centuries old patterns and techniques, seen in our Nativity Sets, are still being used today. We take an enormous amount of pride in our relationship with the Turkish artisans who are carrying on these traditions, and hope that you'll find something on our website that you like.
